Intrusion Protection Devices

Working in conjunction with the main Control Unit, intrusion protection devices are installed strategically throughout your home to provide maximum protection.

All accessible windows and doors should be protected.

Doors

Contacts are mounted on all entry doors into a home, including any patio or garden doors.

Additionally on both the overhead and man doors in a garage.

Windows

A combination of devices are used to maximize perimeter protection.

Glassbreak

Primarily these detectors are used to protect an area of your home that has large non-opening but accessible windows.  A glassbreak utilizes a small microphone that "listens" for breaking glass.

Window Screens

When complete, these screens can activate an alarm whether they are removed from a window, or the screen cut.

Window bars are generally mounted in basement windows and utilize magnet contacts to activate an alarm when they are removed.

Interior Protection

Additional interior devices turned on when the homeowner is either away or retired for the evening add another level of protection to your home security solution.

Motion Detectors

Motion detectors use infra-red technology to detect movement in their field of view.  Detectors are available to reduce the potential for false alarms when pets are "home alone", ask for a pet immune motion detector.
