Alarm Response

Alarm response is initiated by our monitoring station operators.  Depending on the type and quantity of alarm signals received a number of individuals may be asked to respond and check your home / business.

Private Guard Response

For your convenience as well as for the safety of your keyholders, we recommend that the initial response to any alarm condition be provided by a Private Guard Service.

On your behalf, the guard will:

bullet  Perform a perimeter search of the site
bullet  Identify any emergency situations
bullet  Provide a full report of their findings
bullet  Act as a eye witness in case of an event in progress

Private guards are mandated to observe and report, not interact. In the event of a break and enter in progress, the Police Department will be notified.

Guard response is billed on a per dispatch basis, the normal cost for response is $35.00 + GST.

Contact Person or Keyholder

Identified by the site owner, these individuals may be asked to:

bullet  Respond to the home / business to assess the validity of an alarm condition
bullet  Meet with emergency personnel to allow access into the site
bullet  Reset the alarm system using their user access code
bullet  Report information back to our monitoring station operators

Edmonton Police Department

The City of Edmonton Police Department will be dispatched to attend any multiple-hit intrusion alarm unless otherwise requested by the customer.  A multiple-hit alarm condition occurs when two or more detectors have been activated simultaneously at your site.

After investigation by the Police Department, a False Alarm Fine will be issued directly to the customer if no actual break and enter has occurred.

False Alarm Fines:

bullet  $75.00 Residential
bullet  $100 - $150 Commercial

Police response may also be suspended to the site, if more than three false dispatches have occurred in any 12 month period.
